I Am Time ("the app", "we", "us") is made by Raj Chourasiya, an individual developer based in India. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, where it goes, how long it is kept and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, write to iamtimeapp@gmail.com.
1. The short version
- No ads, no ad tracking, no analytics or crash-reporting tools. We do not sell or rent your information.
- Your birth details are used only to calculate your readings.
- Your name, email and birth date, time and place are never sent to the AI service used for the chat.
- You can delete your account and your data from inside the app at any time (Settings, "Delete my data").
2. Information you give us
- Birth details: your name, date of birth, time of birth (or that it is unknown) and place of birth (city name, latitude, longitude and time zone). These are needed to calculate your birth chart and readings.
- Account details: your email address and password, if you create an account. The password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store it.
- Questions you type in "Ask about yourself" (the chat).
- Settings: app language, morning notification on or off and its time, and an optional city used for daily panchang timings.
3. Information created automatically
- Device identifier: on Android, the identifier Android gives our app on your device (Android ID); on iPhone and iPad, a random identifier the app creates and keeps in your device Keychain. We use it to count free days and to stop misuse of the free trial. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with advertisers.
- Usage records: the dates on which you received a free reading, and how many chat questions you asked this month.
- Technical data: when the app connects to our servers, your IP address and basic request details (time and the address called) pass through Cloudflare. We use the IP address only for short-term rate limiting to protect the service, and we do not store it with your profile. We do not write your birth details to our server logs.
- Subscription status: if you subscribe on Google Play, Google gives us the purchase token, whether the subscription is active and until when, so we can turn Plus on for your account. We never receive your card or bank details.
- Question credits: if you buy credits on Google Play, Google gives us the purchase token and order number so we can confirm the purchase, and we keep your credit balance with your account. We never receive your card or bank details.
4. How we use information
- To calculate your birth chart, your daily, weekly and longer-period readings, the panchang and the gemstone section.
- To answer your questions in the chat.
- To keep your profile when you sign in on another device.
- To count free days, monthly questions and credits, check your subscription and purchases, and prevent misuse. For example, the date of birth linked to an account or device cannot be switched to get readings for other people.
- To show the morning notification you turn on. Notifications are scheduled on your device; we do not run a push-notification server.
- To reply when you contact us.
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing profiles, and we make no automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. AI features (the chat and your reading in simple words)
When you ask a question in the chat, the app sends your question, your earlier chat messages from the same day, and a summary of your reading for today to a third-party AI service provider. If you turn on "AI-written reading in simple words", a summary of today's reading is sent to the same provider so that your reading for today, these weeks and the longer period can be written in simple words. The summary contains your Moon sign, today's date, the readings for today, these weeks and the longer period, planet positions, panchang (including local sunrise and sunset times), dasha and, for the chat, the gemstone section.
We do not send your name, email, or your date, time or place of birth. The provider uses this information only to write the answer or the reading, under its own terms and privacy policy, and its servers may be outside your country.
The app asks for your permission before your first question and before the first AI-written reading. If you do not agree, you can use the rest of the app; your reading is then written by the app itself. You can turn the AI-written reading off at any time in Settings, under Account. Your chat history is kept only on your device and starts fresh each day.
6. Where information is stored and who processes it
- Your device: profile, settings, today's reading, birth chart and chat history.
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): sign-in (Firebase Authentication) and Cloud Firestore, where we keep a copy of your profile if you sign in, the app settings, the free-day and date-of-birth records linked to your account and device, and your question credit balance and credit purchase records.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: the secure gateway between the app and our server. It also keeps a count of your chat questions for the current month, for up to 40 days.
- Our reading server: a rented virtual private server that runs the calculations. It receives your date, time and place of birth with each request and does not store them.
- A third-party AI service provider: only for the chat and the AI-written reading, as described above.
- Open-Meteo: when you search for a city, the text you type is sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to find the place.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, in-app purchases and subscriptions.
These providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States, the European Union, India and China. Where the law requires, transfers are protected by safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Legal basis (EEA, UK and similar laws)
- Contract: to provide the readings, account and subscription you ask for.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure and prevent misuse of free days.
- Consent: the AI chat, the AI-written reading and notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time by not using the chat, by turning the AI-written reading off in Settings, or by turning notifications off.
8. How long we keep information
- Profile and account: until you delete your account.
- Free-day and date-of-birth records linked to your device: up to 24 months after you last use the app, so that the free trial cannot be repeated. These records contain no name or email.
- Monthly question counters: deleted automatically after 40 days.
- Credit balance and credit purchase records: kept with your account so your credits stay available, and purchase records as long as accounting law requires.
- Chat history: only on your device, replaced each day.
9. Deleting your account and data
In Settings, tap "Delete my data". This removes your profile from your device and from our database and deletes your account. For security, you may be asked to sign in again before the account is removed.
Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
You can also ask us to delete your data by writing to iamtimeapp@gmail.com.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent. Time and place of birth can be changed in Settings. Name and date of birth are fixed after the first entry, so write to us if they need correcting.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are used in California law, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
11. Children
The app is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, use the app only with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Security
All connections use encrypted HTTPS. Our database is protected by security rules, and the app can read and change only your own profile. No method is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
13. This website
The website iamtime.app only describes the app. It has no account, no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising scripts.
Like every website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify you.
Links to Google Play or the App Store take you to those stores, which have their own privacy policies.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
